* COVE'S LIKWID LOUNGE DEBUT!

Cove is pleased to announce an extremely exciting show happening this
coming Sunday, July 23rd, at Edmonton's New City Likwid Lounge (10161
112 St, two blocks south of the Sidetrack). The band will be playing a
45-minute powerset (featuring tons of cooooool new material!) in an
opening slot for Reelones, a great folk-rock band from Norway. The fun
starts at 9pm - bring all your friends and help Cove rock New City!

* COVEWORLD 2.3 GOES LIVE

That's right, your favourite sweater-based webpage has just gotten
better. Check out the newly-expanded Recordings section on Cove's
website (http://www.coveworld.net/cove/recordings.html) for a whole
bevy of new features. You can now peruse lyrics, mp3's, and a
track-by-track commentary on the making of (and inspriration for)
"Later". And here's the best part - you can now securely order the
aforementioned CD online (with a credit card) from anywhere in the world!
(Okay, so *we* think that's the best part.) Be sure to surf on by today.

* CALGARY AWAITS

After a great trip up to Fort McMurray for Canada Day, it's now time to
start the countdown...Cove is set to make their debut in Alberta's
"other" city in just under two weeks! Be sure to tell your cousins to
check out Calgary's Rose & Crown (1504 - 4th St. SW) on Friday, July 28,
and Saturday, July 29. Showtime is 9PM, and there is no cover.

* THE SAGA OF DAN AND BRYAN

As far as Cove's Department of Bass(tm) goes, it's something old,
something new...a round of congratulations is in order, however, as
Cove's summer bassist Dan Churchill recently discovered that he has been
accepted into the masters music program at the University of Toronto!
This awesome achievement means that, sadly, his duties with Cove have
come to an end - the band's last gig with Dan will be Calgary's Rose &
Crown shows. But have no fear, gentle Cove-ites, for August will witness
the return of *the* man himself: Bryan Palsat will soon be shedding his
construction hat and once more donning the mantle of Cove Lowdown Master.
Congrats Dan, and welcome back Bryan!

* GET UNDRESSED WITH COVE

Well...er...not really. Only if you want to! You see, Cove's plans for
the fall include working on a super-top-secret EP/multimedia CD-ROM
project (an "enhanced CD", as they say in the industry). We basically
hope to record a few new tunes, shoot some video, take some pictures, and
then create a little plastic disc that should impress audiophiles, venue
managers, and computer geeks alike. The thing is, we need your ideas;
what would you like to see on a Cove CD-ROM? Sure, we'll have all the
usual boring stuff...but how about backstage confessions? A "throw the
barstool at Cove" interactive game? Puppeteer - the do-it-yourself dance
remix? Bug Matt with your creative input at matt@coveworld.net. And if
you'd be interested in supporting this project by pre-ordering a CD, let
us know...we'd love to hear from you!

Well, that's all the news that's fit to print electronically this month...be sure to keep an eye on www.coveworld.net/cove/ for updates, and enjoy summer while it lasts!

All best,

-Newsletterboy Matt and the Cove collective
