Being the guidelines for playing a campaign in the Generic Universal Roleplaying System based on the television series Earth: Final Conflict.
Hi from The Author:
Greetings, fellow E:FC fans and GURPS players.
I know there must be others out there who enjoy both this delightful show
and the delightful practice of roleplaying. It is for you that this
page has been constructed.
Watching the show for the first time, I knew it
had the potential for a great RPG experience. It was action-filled,
speculative and let the viewers use their imaginations. The web page
has added immensely to the E:FC experience, and helped inspire me to put
these rules together. If you haven't checked it out, you should;
I guarantee it's a winner.
As to the system I chose, I must say I'm not a die-hard
fan of GURPS. I find it to be rather rules-heavy and unplayable,
but that is the price of its versatility, and the thought struck me one
day that it would be the perfect system to adapt to an Earth: Final Conflict
campaign. So here is the information to begin such a campaign.
The GURPS E:FC Campaign set-up uses the Basic Rules
(3rd Edition) with a few notable exceptions.
Equipment:
From Skrills to Taelon Shuttles, a few new ultra-tech goodies.
Advantages/Disadvantages
A few special qualities such as CVIs and Taelon racial advantages.
Skills: For
operating those high-tech Companion gadgets.
PC Guidelines:
My suggestions for player character creation.
For GMs only: (I'm trusting you players not to cheat)
Campaign
World Info: The basics such as TL, cash flow, laws, etc.
NPCs: The big-name
characters from the TV show, adapted for GURPS.
Adventure Ideas:
Possible adventures based on leads from the show and my own ideas.
I'd like some feedback on this page and the rules
to GURPS E:FC. Any criticism (constructive, of course) is welcome.
Also, anyone interested in organizing (perhaps even GMing?) a Play By Email
campaign should also get in touch with me.
