Rock hyraxes look a lot like marmots or woodchucks, but they're not rodents. They're actually more closely related to elephants. We have a few, and they're in the Kopje (Ko-pee) rock exhibit. Kopjes are these big hunks of rock that stick out of the African Savannah. There's a hardpan about 3 or 4 feet below the ground on the savannah, which is partly why there's no trees, and Kopjes are often the only elevated thing around on the savannah.
