Sterling, the male silvery cheeked hornbill that lives in the barn. Hornbills are very noisy, and Sterling likes to call whenever anybody is talking. He and Onyx live next to Jethro, and often I'll walk past and see Sterling on the ground next to the fence, looking up at Jethro right on the other side. When they see me, they immediately look away and slowly wander off. I imagine they'd be whistling if they could, and putting their hands in their pockets if they had pockets. I'm pretty sure they're up to something. Hornbills in general are considered to be about as smart as dogs.
