This is a Mediterranean Gecko, they're an exotic species and they're all over the building at night. They're welcome though, as they eat the Formosa termites and the Oriental cockroaches that also inhabit New Orleans. They're also very territorial, and at dusk they're all out to defend their turf, which usually consists of a section of wall with a light on it.
