Ramblin' Man was born in Dallas, Texas on June 6, 1980. But he sure didn't stay there long. Within weeks, he had moved to St. Louis, Missouri. There he took somthing of a break, but he still managed to move four more times before graduating from high school. Nowadays, it always takes him a while to answer the question, "Where are you from?" Dallas, sort of, and St. Louis, definitely. But he's spent almost a fourth of the past few years Michigan. His new permanent address is Philadelphia, but he really lives in Evanston, Illinois. Even here at Northwestern University, he's got a new room every year, and by 2002 he'd better have plans for a new place of residence.
Ramblin' Man was born to ride the dusty roads of Team Johnny's fate, but the next few years look particularly long and winding. These days, he spends a good bit of time pondering whether the next move will take him east, west, north or south. Which member of Team Johnny will lead him, and will Team Johnny be alone?
But then again, it's not really Ramblin' Man's job to ask questions. He just needs to do what he always has: enjoy this town, look forward to the next, and never forget any step of his journey.
