Tassadar/Elranor:
Protoss Psionic Entity

    This great Archon was formed when the High Templar Elranor merged with the psionic residue imprisoned in a Khaydarin Crystal after the death of his brother, Tassadar.  The result was perhaps the most powerful being in existence.  Tassadar/Elranor is currently driven by the desire to uncover the legacy of the mother-race, the Xel'Naga, but their Tassadar-half may soon lead them back to the Protoss worlds.  Their only weakness lies in the uncontrollable fury inherent in the Archon form.  It is a testament to the strength of these Templar that they have managed to form a strong, coherent personality through such adversity.

Kolvan:
Protoss, age 521
Prefect, Guardians of the Xel'Naga
    Kolvan is a brilliant Templar, but as an expert pilot, he knows his place in battle is in the cockpit of his high-performance Scout.  Raised in servitude to his Xel'Naga masters, he has been forced into the unenviable position of leading a guerilla army.  For many years, the Guardians of the Xel'Naga roamed the spacelanes between the destroyed planets of the Xel'Naga, raiding the Zerg swarms for supplies and resources.  After the death of the Overmind, Kolvan took full advantage of the weakness of the Zerg and formulated a plan to retake one of the former Xel'Naga planets.  His odds of success are dubious, but perhaps the arrival of Tassadar/Elranor can turn the tide.

Ultor:
Zerg Cerebrate
Ruler of the Zerg on the burnt Xel'Naga planet
    After the death of the Overmind, the crafty Cerebrate Ultor was the first to take advantage of his newfound freedom.  Mobilizing his minions, he struck at the other Cerebrates on the Xel'Naga planet where he nested and killed them one by one.  Now, he is the undisputed ruler of an entire world.  For now, he is content with this, but a greater ambition may soon take hold of him.
