A Protoss
Carrier slid silently throught the void of outer space. The ship
had not seen refit or repair for more than two centuries, and it showed.
The hull was pitted with scars from combat and collision. Its hyperdrive
engines, however, were still quite capable, even as the ship neared the
end of a hundred-parsec voyage.
At the helm
was a single Protoss, clad in the uniform of a High Templar. His
finger hovered over a control panel, over the switch that would activate
his ship's distress beacon. The switch that, if thrown, would begin
a grand search across the stars.
The Templar's
eye strayed to another portion of the ship's bridge, where a holographic
projector had been lovingly prepared. With a psionic command, he
activated the holo, and the image of a young Protoss male, about 120, materialized
in the air above the projector.
Tassadar.
"You will
live again, my brother," the Templar vowed. Then he looked to the
planet below. Lithone, one of the many worlds ravaged by Kerrigan's
Zerg. But this one was different. He could feel the khaydarin
crystal on its surface, and even from this distance, he could almost make
out a spark of awareness within that cold, blue artifact.
His finger
descended on the switch. So, he thought, begins the search for the
Xel'Naga.
Relics of the Xel'Naga chronicles the attempts by Protoss and Zerg forces to discover if any Xel'Naga survived the Zerg ascension. It takes place after the completion of Brood War. The campaign travels from the distant world of Lithone, to Aiur and an orbiting space platform, to a devastated but nameless planet that houses many dangerous Xel'Naga artifacts.
Brood War Upgrade:
For those of you with Brood War (hopefully most of you), I've prepared a .scx version of Relics. Enjoy.
Further Information:
A Complete Story Summary is available for those who like a bit of plot exposition before they begin.
Heroes
List: Four new Heroes were created for this campaign. Check
'em out.
I've also prepared an Epilogue
in html form to flesh out the end of the story. Since I can't make
cutscenes, this is the next best thing, I suppose.

You can either download the
whole campaign as a zip file or save each .scm mission separately.
