We appreciate the fact that many of our loved ones have a long way to travel in order to come to the wedding. Here are some travel details that we hope will make it easier for you!

Travel to California
The ceremony will be held on July 24, 2004 at four o'clock. We recommend that you arrive in the evening on Friday, July 23. The closest airports are the Long Beach, CA airport (LGB) and the Los Angeles, CA (LAX) airport.

While there are many hotels in the area, we have arranged group rates at several local hotels, all within a 30-minute drive to the Neighborhood Church.

c) $89 a night for a studio suite with kitchen, sleeper couch and one queen-sized bed (sleeps up to 4).

Directions to Ceremony
From LAX:
Take the 405 freeway south to Hawthorne Blvd.
Exit on Hawthorne and turn right.
Turn right on Pacific Coast Highway.
Turn left on Palos Verdes Blvd.
Keep to your right, and you'll hit Via Almar.
Turn right on Via Almar.
Turn right on Via Arroyo.
Turn left on Paseo Del Mar, and the church will be the first building on the right.
If you get lost or need to clarify the directions, you may want to call the church at 310-378-9353.

There are two parking lots, one to the right and one to the left of the church. Just follow the signs -- there should be plenty of parking!

Reception Location

Our reception will be a traditional Chinese banquet. We will form a caravan to the the reception location. If you get separated from the group, call the restaurant at 310.538.2620 for directions.

Activities in the Area
There's LOTS to do in the LA area! Palos Verdes is near a bunch of beaches -- Redondo, Hermosa, Manhattan, then Santa Monica and Venice farther north. You will probably be renting a car, since public transportation isn't an option, so the world is your oyster! You might want to check out these things, all within 1.5 hours drive.

Tourist Attractions:
Disneyland in Anaheim. Fun for all ages ...and the setting for the first day of our honeymoon!

Knott's Berry Farm is a local favorite in Southern California, an amusement park with more thrill rides than you'll find in Disneyland.

Hollywood is a must-visit for Mann's Chinese Theater and the Walk of Fame.

Beaches There's an abundance! Just go west, and you'll hit all the beaches you could want.

Shopping:
The Avenue of the Peninsula is the open-air mall in PV. It has stores like J. Crew, Banana Republic, Abercrombie, and Saks, as well as a movie theater and ice-skating rink. If you are going south on Hawthorne Blvd (uphill), turn left at Silver Spur and you will come upon the mall and parking.

Del Amo Mall Go north on Hawthorne (downhill), and you will hit a massive expanse of stores in Del Amo mall. They also have many restaurants (Outback Steakhouse, Houlihans, etc.).

Century City Mall Take the 405 freeway north to Santa Monica Blvd to get to this open-air haven of stores in sunny Century City, near a lot of glitzy offices.

Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Boutiques! Cool stores like Urban Outfitters! Come be seen here, and maybe take in the Santa Monica pier while you're at it!

If you want to go farther, you can go to the Camarillo or Cabazon premium outlets.
